Hi! My name is Shanling, and I graduated from the Biomedical Visualization master’s program from the University of Illinois Chicago, where I specialized in molecular visualization and 3D animation.
Before graduate school, I attended and graduated from the University of Toronto with a double major in Physiology and Health & Disease, and a minor in the History and Philosophy of Science. It was during my undergraduate period when I learned the importance of scientific communication, and my graduate student days when I discovered the beauty of using storytelling to bring science to life.
Currently, I am a full time biomedical illustrator and animator.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, going to the gym, and lounging with my cat.
